Meet Mr. Landon

Last Friday, I had the pleasure of photographing one of the cutest little guys ever — 9-month-old Landon.  His mom contacted me a while back to set up a shoot for his milestone pictures.  I had a blast with him and his mommy and daddy and got some really sweet shots of them together.  Here are a few of my favorites from our time together.

I cannot get over the twinkle in those baby blues of his!

I mean really, this kid is adorable.  He's got the sweetest little personality and never made a fuss about anything.  I wonder how he feels about older women because I happen to know a really sweet little girl he should meet.  She's twice his age though.  Might be an issue. ;-)

You can clearly see why Mom and Dad couldn't leave him stranded on the railroad tracks for long, huh.

Landon loves kisses from his two favorite people.

So many expressions!  And again, those eyes!

Sweet little family.

He was a man on a mission....his snacks were just out of the frame.  What started as just a cute moment of him taking off just before I got "the shot" ended up actually being "the shot".  If there's one thing that really embodies this age....it's new-found mobility!

Thank you Tranberg family for the chance to capture your sweet little man's 9-month portraits.  It was a joy working with you guys, and I hope you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Meet the Zschiesche family

Meet Ed and Coda Zschiesche.

Coda contacted me after she and my mom discovered each other on Facebook.  You see, my mom babysat  for Ed and Coda a couple of years ago.  Her charges were the ones you'll see below...yep, the ones with their own grown kids.  So...maybe it was more than just a couple of years ago, but not much, right Mom?  Anyway, Coda asked me if I could meet up with them on Thanksgiving day to get a big group shot of the whole family together, and I was happy to oblige.

With 14 of them, you can understand why it's difficult to get everyone in one place at the same time.

This is Charles, wife Judy, and daughters Evan and Erin.

It's pictures like this one that make me smile to know my little Savannah is going to have a sister.  It's a special bond (I imagine anyway...ya know...since I can't speak from experience).

This is Josh, wife Dionne, and sons Tyler (center), Jace (right), and Colton (left).

Handsome bunch.

This is Jodie, husband Clayton, and son Taylor.

All the grandkids.

It was a pleasure to meet all of you guys!  I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving together and that you love the results of our little holiday photo session.

Meet the Joneses

Actually, this isn't a new introduction.  You've met Josh and Kristi before, but it's been a little while.  I met up with them some seven months ago for a family portrait session.  And my how things have changed!  For starters, they're expecting another sweet addition to their already precious family.  The littlest Jones princess will be here in February. :-)

And if history repeats itself, she's sure to be adorable with a big brother and sister as cute as these two.

Aidan was all grins like always.

And I think Abigail wished that I had brought her BFF Savannah with me so they could play when we were done taking pictures.  She hid her disappointment very well though. :-)

Love those smiles!!

Thank you, Jones family.  I love seeing how the kids change from one shoot to the next, and you guys are always so fun to photograph!  Can you believe that the next time I take your pictures there will be a third child in them?!?!  Can't wait!

Meet the Grant Family

This is the lovely Grant family...

I had the pleasure of meeting up with them last weekend for a family photo session.  We meandered around downtown Mansfield for a while, then moved on to Katherine Rose Memorial Park for a change of scenery.  We had an absolute blast!  I had the hardest time picking my favorite shots from the day.  They are a beautiful family inside and out...as you'll see. :-)

The girls were model models for me.  It was my first shoot in ages without babies or toddlers so we had the chance to do some fun stuff.

At the park, we had to do some "just the two of us" shots.

Check out Jay eyeing his lady.  ;-)  Love it!

While I stepped away with Jay and Katie for that, I left the girls with my assistant for the day (aka, my Mom) to have a little sidewalk-chalk fun.

Bella is such a sweetheart.  She was Mr. & Mrs. Darby's flower girl so I already knew that anyway.

And Jasmine is no less a sweetheart than her sister and beautiful to boot.  I advised Jay to arm himself heavily for the foreseeable future.

Cuties.  'Nuff said.

Thank you Grant family!  It was nice to meet the whole fam and get to know y'all a little better.  Hope you enjoy your pictures!

The Badovinac Family

Last weekend, despite a slightly chilly, windy morning, I met up with this sweet family at the Stockyards for a photo session.  Thankfully, it warmed up a little not long after we got started, and we had a lot of fun walking around and posing.  Here are a few of my favorites from the day:

One of the few smiles we got out of little Dane.  :-)

There was so much for him to look at...he just couldn't help but be a tiny bit distracted.  He was, however, still adorable.  As was big sis Addison.

See...what did I say?  Adorable, right!

And Ms. Sassy!  She was such a doll.

Thank you Brandon and Raeanne - you have a beautiful family!  I hope I get the pleasure of trying to coax a smile out of Dane again sometime. ;-)

Presenting Mr. and Mrs. Darby

EXTRA! EXTRA!
Sarah & Samuel tie the knot!

Here it is ladies and gents, the long awaited and much anticipated first wedding blog post!  So without further ado, here is a small (as in only about .01% of the total) sample of the memories from the beautiful couple's special day.

Not your standard guest book and sign in table...love it!

All the girls swooned when Samuel peeked into the bridal room - careful not to see his soon-to-be bride - holding a bouquet of flowers and sweet note for his lady.

Ready to go and looking stunning!

The bride and groom chose to do "first look" pictures, so we had a little fun with it before letting them actually lay eyes on each other. And as a side note to anyone out there who's getting married soon or knows someone who is...I totally encourage you to consider the first look.  Talk to anyone who has done it!

Ah, the shoes.  I love the shoes!  100% Sarah.

Bridal party

Words are really kind of unnecessary here, don't you agree. :-)

Here comes the beautiful bride, ready to marry her man!

I love this one...

First kiss as husband and wife.

I debated whether the cake really needed a spot in the blog, but it was too gorgeous not to share.

I'm not sure it's easy to see in this scaled down, lower res version, but the bottom of her shoe says 'love'.  Precious.  Just precious.

Congratulations you two!  Thank you for having faith in me to capture your blessed day.  It was amazing to share your wedding with you in this way.  I wish you a lifetime of bliss together!
